- Enter Domain, User and Passwort according to the login data on MS-CRM server.
- Hostname is the name or the IP number of your MS-CRM server.
- The default port of HTTP application is 80. If you are running MS-CRM on a different port please specify the port here. If you
are using a SSL connection the default port is 443. The default port for MS-CRM 1.2 is 8099.
-
ContactGrabber can connect to a HTTP-Server using a SSL connection that is based on a verified, official certificate or
on an unverified certificate. A verified certificate you can get from Verisign. If you are using MS-CRM with an unverified
certificate mark the checkbox.
-
If you are using the HTTP proxy to connect to MS-CRM server you can specify a proxy in the Proxy preference page.
You can check all connection parameter by using the "Test Connection" button.
With CRM 4.0 ContactGrabber supports the install options "On Premise" and "IFD". Also you have to assign an organization for the export. Please use the button "Read Organization" to retrieve all organizations from the server.
Data Creation
ContactGrabber can create addresses as Competitor, Leads or Contacts/Accounts in MS-CRM. If
you activate one or more of these exports then the exports are shown in the export selection box
in the main dialog of ContactGrabber. You have to activate at least one export.
- Lead has the mandantory field Subject which value ContactGrabber cannot extract from the address data.
You can set a value of the field here and if you mark the checkbox "Ask for Lead Subject" ContactGrabber shows
an input dialog box during the export and you can modify the value.
-
Using the option Contact/Account you can specify if the address is exported as Contact, as Account or as Contact and Account at the
same time. If Contact and Account is exported at the same time ContactGrabber creates a relationship between these datasets in MS-CRM.
ContactGrabber creates the Contact always. But if there is an Account available in MS-CRM that has the same name as the Account
that should be exported ContactGrabber creates only the relationship between the newly created Contact and the found Account.
You can also specify if the created Contact should be the primary Contact of the Account. You have this option for newly created
Accounts.
Contact and Account can only be exported if the address has the suitable data. For Contact you need the lastname and for Account
the company name is necessary.
-
If the checkbox "Ask for missing data" is checked ContactGrabber opens a popup dialog while exporting and you can enter the missing data.
-
The checkbox "Export Parsefield to Description" allows you to export the content of the parsefield to the description of the created datasets.
Storage of Adressdata
ContactGrabber offers the ability to store the addressdata of Account and Contacts records as Billing- and/or Shippingaddress.
You can specify these combinations using the select boxes.
